Rough Edit
This is my rough edit of the Nostalgia trailer I created, I have added a few video effects and most of the sound effects but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to improve my trailer. This is just my first draft and I hope to make my trailer look much better than this with more editing and improvements such as adding in transitions, inter-titles, edit the sound effects to make the trailer flow better and add some special effects to make the trailer more effective to link to the horror genre. I also need to change the length of time that my institutional logo is shown for at the end because in this draft it just flashes and my audience will not be able to see it properly.
Our group thought carefully about the lighting therefore we purposely filmed in bright lighting when Natasha was in the corridor so that when we turned the light off it gave an effective flickering effect. We used dark lighting in some scenes to created enigma and a scary atmosphere however we made sure that the audience would be able to see what is going on, we managed to do this by the use of props such as the candle in one scene when it is a close up of Natasha's face and a torch in the other close up of Natasha's face where the video has a blue effect, this blue effect gives off a cold vibe to the audience and is a convention of horror films. The blue effect also puts emphasis on her face and adds a creepy effect to the video.
